Adamah LA Youth Empowerment Reverse Tashlich

Sunday, September 29, 2024
11am-12pm
Meet outside BAR Center at the Beach, 201 Ocean Front Walk

Join Jewish Youth Climate Movement, Adamah on Campus, and Repair the World Los Angeles for a Reverse Tashlich Beach Cleanup at Venice Beach. It will be a great way to connect with nature, build relationships with community members, and greet the new year. By filling this form out, you are registered for the event.

Repair the Sea (repairthesea.org) is hosting their 7th annual international day of reverse tashlich, meaning by participating in this event, you will be connected with Jewish people across the world working to clean up the earth and the sea together. Instead of throwing our sins metaphorically into waterways for the new year, please join us in picking up "sins" (aka trash) to improve public spaces for our community, as well as beautify our planet.

The Jewish Youth Climate Movement, founded in 2020, is a Gen Z-led movement dedicated to combating climate change and environmental injustice from a Jewish lens. Our goal is to make taking collective action towards climate justice a central, defining feature of what it means to be Jewish over the next decade, empowering the next generation of Jewish youth to be leaders in our fight to build a sustainable and equitable world for all.

Check out more on our website (jewishyouthclimatemovement.org)! Adamah LA’s Youth Empowerment Coordinator (JYCM and Adamah on Campus) Marissa Fink will be present with Repair the World LA and can be reachable at marissa.fink@adamah.org or text 323.275.9020 with any questions.

Travel stipends for teens/students can be provided, please reach out if needed. Snacks and refreshments will be served!

Before the Reverse Tashlich, Repair the World Los Angeles is hosting a table at the Volunteer Collective (volunteer-collective.org) Fair on Third Street Promenade, in case you’d like to check it out!
